Description

South of Poland is a perfect location for a mtb cycle holiday, to meander through amazing landscapes, to climb ubp the tops, and – as a reward – to roll down having joyride like downhill/enduro competitors do. Surrounded by the Beskid Mountains, we cycle on paths along the picturesque peaks of Beskid Żywiecki range, we sleep in mountain shelterhouse, and we sample some delicious local cuisine.

Our route will go along border between Poland and Slovakia, and pass fourteen peaks between 1000 and 1557m a.s.l. high (including Pilsko – secod highest peak od Beskid Żywiecki). We will have two overnights in shelterhouses „Hala Przegibek” and „Hala Rysianka”.

TOUR SCHEDULE:

• pick up at set time and place,
• transfer to border town Zwardoń, where mountain exploration begins,
• spending of 3 days in mountains,
• visit to Żywiec Brewery
• transfer back to Cracow.

Day 1:

We meet up in Cracow, we are transfered by van to Zwardoń where our exploration begings. From now, we can count only on power in our legs and on our bikes. We take a trail towarding to first challenge of us – Wielka Racza top. After we get there we enjoy atmosphere of that place, enjoing pretty landscape and shelterhoute itselt. After few other lower tops and a few passes we get to our first overnight stop in shelterhouse „Hala Przegibek”. We have a traditional local dinner and tasty pint of beer.

Day 2:

After caloric breakfast we start our climb again. We take direction to Rycerzowa Wielka top, after that we visit a mountain cottage and roll down to civilisation to pass it in two minutes and to begin another fight with mountains. We’re passing a few tops until we get to shelterhouse at Hala Rysianka.

Day 3:

We take eastern direction towarding highest peak Pilsko (1557m. a.s.l.). After we  reach this peak we roll down to have a cold beer, or hot coffie – depending on the weather. After that we continue decreacing down to Żywiec, city famous of brewering one of the best quality polish beer (if we have enought time and condition we can visit museum of brewering in Żywiec Brewery). After all we are transfered back to your place in Cracow.
Cycling Tours can be organized everyday/daily and it takes 7-8 hours a day.
